Lesson Study project 3C Dollis Junior School
This Year 3 project examined the different strategies used by pupils when undertaking calculations. The LS took place in a lower attaining mathematics Set 3. The group learned that:-
- Models and images support pupils’ thinking.
- Modelling using equipment such as Numicon supports some children.
- A multi-sensory approach to number is supportive to children who are experiencing difficulties in early mathematics skills.
